Ennen PTT:t\u00e4 h\u00e4n on ty\u00f6skennellyt Helsingin yliopistossa ja ollut vierailevana tutkijana Illinoisin yliopistossa Yhdysvalloissa.<\/p>\n<p>Arovuoren tutkimuksen ydint\u00e4 ovat ruokamarkkinoiden toiminta ja maatalouspolitiikan vaikuttavuus. H\u00e4n osallistuu aktiivisesti maa- ja elintarvikemarkkinoista, etenkin ruuan hinnasta, k\u00e4yt\u00e4v\u00e4\u00e4n keskusteluun. H\u00e4nen julkaisutoimintansa ulottuu kansainv\u00e4lisist\u00e4 julkaisuista kolumneihin kotimaassa.<\/p>\n<p>&#8221;Ky\u00f6sti Arovuori on jo vt. tutkimusjohtajana osoittanut olevansa arvokas johtoryhm\u00e4n j\u00e4sen. Arovuoren vahva tausta ja osaaminen luovat erinomaiset edellytykset johtaa Maa- ja elintarvikeryhm\u00e4n tutkimusta siten, ett\u00e4 ryhm\u00e4 tuottaa luotettavaa ja PTT:n sidosryhmien kannalta hy\u00f6dyllist\u00e4 tietoa&#8221;, toteaa toimitusjohtaja Iiro Jussila.<\/p>\n<p>Teht\u00e4v\u00e4\u00e4 hoitanut Perttu Pyykk\u00f6nen siirtyi vuoden alussa MTK:n edunvalvontajohtajaksi.
